For you if: you tow gooseneck on a 2015–2026 F-150 that B&W lists for GNRK1121, and you want the ball to disappear into the bed when empty.

Skip this page if: you have Tremor, Lightning, Raptor, 2019–2020 Limited, or dual exhaust on the exclude list. Skip if you want a fifth-wheel only (Companion / fifth-wheel page). Skip weight-distribution hitches and receiver ball mounts.

The ones that matter

Gooseneck puts the coupler over the rear axle in the bed. Fifth-wheel uses a different head over the rails. Weight-distribution hitches live on the rear receiver. Keep those pages separate.

Flip-over ball

Turnoverball’s story is the square-shank ball that locks for towing and flips to clear the bed. That is the daily advantage versus a ball that stays proud in the bed.

Ball GTW vs truck rating

GNXA2000’s 30,000 lb GTW / 7,500 lb VTW and GNXA2025’s 40,000 lb / 10,000 lb are ball ratings. An F-150’s gooseneck tow rating is almost always lower. Tow to the lowest published limit among truck, hitch hardware, and trailer.

Fifth-wheel on the same rails

B&W’s underbed system can take Companion single-point fifth-wheel bases. If you switch between gooseneck and fifth-wheel, that is the path. Shop Companion hardware on the fifth-wheel page.

Gooseneck vs fifth-wheel vs receiver

Gooseneck (this page). Ball in the bed over the axle. Coupler drops onto the ball. Turnoverball flips the ball when empty.

Fifth-wheel. Plate or jaws over the bed rails / underbed base. Different head, different trailer. Start on the Companion / fifth-wheel page.

Receiver ball mount. Two-inch (or larger) rear receiver for bumper-pull trailers. Not a gooseneck. Weight-distribution is a different page.

If you only ever pull a bumper-hitch trailer, you are on the wrong page. If you only ever run a fifth-wheel RV, start on the Companion / fifth-wheel page and come back here only when you also need gooseneck.

Dual exhaust and excluded trims

B&W’s GNRK1121 page excludes dual-exhaust trucks along with Tremor, Lightning, Raptor, and 2019–2020 Limited. Measure tips and frame rails before you assume a “same year F-150” kit fits. Wrong kit means wrong brackets.

Bed clearance when empty

A gooseneck ball that stays up eats bed space and catches straps. Turnoverball’s flip-over design is for daily drivers who still haul pallet freight or coolers when the trailer is home. Confirm the flipped ball sits flush enough for your bed mat, CargoGlide, or toolbox overhang before you drill.

Tongue / vertical weight

Gooseneck trailers put serious vertical load on the bed. GNXA2000’s 7,500 lb VTW and GNXA2025’s 10,000 lb VTW are ball vertical ratings. Match trailer pin weight and truck payload. Payload includes people, fuel, and gear in the cab — not just the trailer sticker.

Pick: underbed Turnoverball, F-150

FAQ

What is the best gooseneck hitch for trucks?

B&W Turnoverball GNRK1121 for a 2015–2026 F-150 on B&W’s listed apps, with ball ratings from GNXA2000 or GNXA2025. Truck tow rating still wins.

How much can GNRK1121 tow?

Use the ball ratings (GNXA2000 30,000 lb GTW / 7,500 lb VTW; GNXA2025 40,000 / 10,000) and your truck’s gooseneck rating — whichever is lower. B&W does not give this page a separate kit GTW above those ball pages.

Does it fit F-150 Tremor or Raptor?

No on B&W’s exclude list for this kit. Lightning, 2019–2020 Limited, and dual-exhaust trucks are also out.

Is this a fifth-wheel hitch?

No. It is a gooseneck Turnoverball. The same underbed system can accept Companion fifth-wheel bases — shop that on the fifth-wheel page.

Can the ball stay in the bed when I am not towing?

The Turnoverball design flips the ball over to clear the bed when you are not towing.

Does the kit include the ball?

Confirm the current B&W kit contents for GNRK1121 on the product page you buy from. Ball ratings on this page come from B&W’s GNXA2000 and GNXA2025 ball pages. If you need the 3 in / 40,000 lb path, budget GNXA2025 as the accessory ball.

Will a bed slide or toolbox clear the flipped ball?

Dry-fit. Turnoverball clears better than a fixed proud ball, but a full-width toolbox or cargo slide still needs measured clearance.
