Bilstein 5100 vs 6112 on a Leveled 2021+ F-150
The Bilstein 5100 levels a 2021+ F-150 4WD up to 2.5 inches on the factory springs. The 6112 adds its own springs, but its lift depends on your engine.

Who it’s for, who should skip it
Buy the 5100 if: you have a 2021+ F-150 4WD without Continuously Controlled Damping and you want a level with better shocks than a spacer gives you.
Buy the 6112 if: you want a complete front coilover with new springs and a bigger shock body. You also need to be fine with a lift range set by your engine.
Skip both if: your truck is 2WD, has Continuously Controlled Damping, or is a Raptor. Bilstein lists both parts for 4WD trucks without CCD only.

Fitment by year, cab and bed
Years: Bilstein lists both parts for the 2021 to 2026 F-150, 4WD, front, without Continuously Controlled Damping.
Trims: the 5100 covers XL, STX, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited and Tremor at 0 to 2.5 inches. The 6112 covers the same trims, with lift set by engine as shown in the spec table.
Cab and bed: Bilstein doesn’t split either part by cab or bed. It fits both by year, trim, engine and drive.
Install notes
The 5100 replaces the factory front shock, and your factory spring moves onto the Bilstein body. The 6112 comes as shock, spring and seat, so the shock and the spring get replaced together. Bilstein doesn’t publish an install time. Either way, get an alignment after the truck sits at its new height.
Real downsides
Front only. Both parts cover the front. Rear shocks are a separate purchase.
6112 lift varies. PowerBoost tops out at 1.9 inches and Tremor at 1.5 inches.
CCD trucks are out. Neither part fits an F-150 with Continuously Controlled Damping.
FAQ
Which levels a 2021+ F-150 more, the 5100 or the 6112?
On a 3.5L EcoBoost or 5.0L, both top out at 2.5 inches per Bilstein. On PowerBoost and Tremor trucks the 5100 goes higher, because the 6112 is rated to 1.9 and 1.5 inches there.
Does the 5100 need new springs?
No. Bilstein designs it to reuse the OE springs.
Will either fit an F-150 with CCD or a Raptor?
No. Bilstein lists both for 4WD trucks without Continuously Controlled Damping, and the Raptor is not on either chart.
What warranty comes with them?
Bilstein lists a Limited Lifetime Warranty on both.
