Spring-Things Launches Polyurethane Leaf Spring Noise Kits
Spring-Things launched a $74 heavy-duty polyurethane leaf spring noise kit for pickups with 2.5-inch-wide rear springs. Install claim is 15 to 20 minutes.
Spring-Things has launched a heavy-duty polyurethane version of its leaf spring noise kit, priced at $74 for a single kit on the company’s store, as a firmer alternative to its original neoprene pads. Spring-Thing LLC announced the red polyurethane line October 9, 2026. The pads go between the leaves on trucks with rear leaf springs at least 2.5 inches wide, and the company says most installs take 15 to 20 minutes without pulling the leaf pack.
If the rear of your Silverado, F-150, Tacoma, or Ram clunks and squeaks over bumps, this is the kind of small parts fix that beats a dealer quote for new springs. Pricing and fit claims below come from Spring-Things’ own store and its October 9 announcement.

TruckDaily take
Who this is for. Pickup owners whose rear leaf springs clunk, squeak, tap, or bang over speed bumps and washboard, especially trucks that tow, haul, or see a lot of rough miles. If a shop quoted you new leaf springs over a noise complaint, this is the cheaper first try.
Who should skip. Trucks without rear leaf springs, or springs narrower than 2.5 inches. Skip it too if the noise is a bad bushing, U-bolt, or shock, not leaf-to-leaf contact. The polyurethane kit is the firmer option; stick with the $49 neoprene Universal Kit if you want the softer pad Spring-Things still sells.
What we’d buy. One Heavy-Duty Polyurethane Kit at $74 for a daily driver that tows. Twin pack at $129 only if a second truck in the driveway has the same racket.

What changed
Spring-Things has sold a neoprene leaf spring noise kit since 2020. The October 9 launch adds a red polyurethane pad set as a separate product, not a replacement for the neoprene line. Owner Larry McIntire’s announcement frames polyurethane as the heavier-duty choice for trucks that work harder, while the neoprene kits stay on the shelf for buyers who want the softer pad.
On the store October 15, the Heavy-Duty Polyurethane Kit showed $74 and available. Polyurethane twin, three, and four packs showed $129, $179, and $219. The original Universal Kit was still $49. Those are list prices on Spring-Things’ site, not street prices elsewhere.
How the fix is supposed to work
The pads sit between the leaves. Spring-Things says they cushion compression and rebound so the leaves stop smacking each other. The company does not claim the kit fixes worn bushings, loose U-bolts, or bad shocks. If the clunk is still there after install, look at those next.
Fit is width-based, not year-locked beyond the examples on the product page. Confirm your leaf pack is at least 2.5 inches wide before you order. Spring-Things says you need one kit per truck.

FAQ
What is new about the Spring-Things polyurethane kit?
It is a red polyurethane pad set launched October 9, 2026 as a firmer, more wear-resistant alternative to Spring-Things’ original neoprene kits. The neoprene Universal Kit remains on sale.
How much does the Spring-Things polyurethane leaf spring kit cost?
The single Heavy-Duty Polyurethane Kit is $74 on Spring-Things’ store. Twin, three, and four packs were listed at $129, $179, and $219 when we checked October 15, 2026.
Will it fit my Silverado, F-150, Tacoma, or Ram?
Spring-Things lists those trucks among others, as long as the rear leaf springs are at least 2.5 inches wide. Confirm spring width before you buy.
Do I have to remove the leaf pack?
No. Spring-Things says the pads install between the leaves with a jack, jack stand, and a flat screwdriver or pry bar, in about 15 to 20 minutes for most DIY installs.
Should I buy polyurethane or neoprene?
Spring-Things positions polyurethane as the firmer, longer-wearing option for frequent driving, towing, hauling, or rough roads. Choose the $49 neoprene Universal Kit if you want the softer pad.
