Gas 6.4 Rebel and Power Wagon buyers: Ram lists a Warn electric winch as a standalone option. No pound rating is published. Do not shop this page as that option. Diesel Power Wagon buyers: first-drive reporting says the diesel deletes the factory winch (the intercooler takes that space). An aftermarket winch is a different buy, with its own mount, and only if the bumper and structure can take it. Scout Terra: there is no production Terra winch to cite. Traveler concept accessories are not Terra equipment. Customer deliveries are aimed at 2028. Price, range, tow, and horsepower on Terra are not published. If you want a winch before that truck exists, you are buying for a truck you already own.

Check Factor 55 Standard Duty soft shackle
Check labels name the part. Match the part number on the manufacturer page. A winch rating and a shackle rating are different sentences. A factory option with no printed rating is a third sentence. Keep those three ratings in separate sentences.
Warn’s figure on VR EVO 12-S is rated line pull: 12,000 lb. Smittybilt’s figure on X2O GEN3 12K is single-line rated line pull: 12,000 lb, with 5,454kgs printed beside it as 12,000Lbs (5,454kgs). Neither page labels that number a WLL. Factor 55’s working figure is WLL 7,800 lb. The 39,000 lb number is minimum breaking strength. The product-page load-rating field of 39,000 lb is that breaking figure, not the load you work to. Do not compare 12,000 lb line pull to 7,800 lb WLL as if one wins. They measure different jobs. The winch pulls a line. The shackle connects rigging, and you stay at or under its working load.
Neither winch page printed a first-layer derate or a rope breaking strength. Those numbers are not here.
Ram’s 2027 Heavy Duty update lists a Warn electric winch as a standalone option on Rebel and Power Wagon with the 6.4 HEMI. That is the gas truck. No pound rating, Warn model, or rope type is published for that option. Do not back-fill from a prior-year Power Wagon or from VR EVO 12-S. Warn 103255 is not the 2027 Ram factory option.
Diesel is the opposite problem. Motor1 reports the diesel deletes the factory winch and Articulink because the Cummins takes the bumper space. MotorTrend: the intercooler sits where the gas truck’s standard winch lives. If you still want a winch on that diesel, you are in aftermarket territory. VR EVO 12-S still requires a winch carrier or winch mount. A 12,000 lb rated line pull does not mean the bumper, the frame, or the deleted factory pocket can take this winch. Confirm a mount for that truck before you buy the drum.
Scout has not published a Terra production winch. A Traveler concept winch is not Terra equipment. Do not shop VR EVO as a Scout factory part. Terra starting price, range, tow, and horsepower stay unpublished.
Both winches on this page are synthetic rope with a hawse fairlead. Warn: 90 foot, 3/8 inch (specs also print cable diameter 0.375 inch, length 90 foot). Smittybilt: 3/8 inch by 98.5 foot. Do not order a steel-cable roller-fairlead kit and call it these parts.

Wireless remote with a 10 foot charging/wired cord. 5 foot battery power cables. 650CCA minimum battery for winching, as printed. IP68. 7HP series-wound motor. A truck-by-truck fitment list was not on the page. Match the mount pattern. Do not assume F-150, Ram, or Scout from the 12K name.
Factor 55 Standard Duty 7/16 by 10 is polyethylene / UHMWPE 12-strand, grey, 10 inch pull-to-pull. Factor 55 says it can replace a common steel screw-pin shackle as connecting rigging. It also says it is designed for vehicles with a gross vehicular weight up to 7,500 lb. A 2500, a diesel Power Wagon, and most one-tons are outside that sentence. Do not put this Standard Duty shackle on those trucks. This page does not name a heavier Factor 55 part. If the truck is over 7,500 lb gross, skip this Standard Duty shackle.
Warranty on Factor 55’s site warranty page: one year against defects in materials and craftsmanship, original purchaser, from date of purchase. That is not a lifetime winch warranty. Do not upgrade it.
This page does not cover hitch gear or a snatch-strap recovery. A damper, a tree strap, and a recovery point are real gear. This page names one connector with a printed WLL and two winches with printed line pull. If a listing does not name the part number, it is the wrong buy.
For a 3/4-ton or one-ton that does not already have a factory winch, and that can take a carrier or mount.
Drawback: Not the 2027 Ram factory option. Ram has not published a pound rating. A 12,000 lb rated line pull does not mean the bumper or frame can take this winch. Needs a mount that exists for that truck.

A winch does not “fit an F-150” because the box says 12,000 lb. Match the mount pattern, the bumper or carrier, the battery, and the truck’s structure.
Warn says this 12-S is for 3/4 and one-ton pickups and larger, heavier rigs, and that it requires a winch carrier or winch mount. If the diesel Power Wagon has no factory winch pocket, you need a mount that exists for that bumper. This page does not name that mount.
Smittybilt prints a bolt pattern and a minimum battery CCA. It does not, on the page used here, name Ram, Ford, or Scout. Open the fitment tab on the listing you buy. If your truck is not there, do not assume.

Read the remote before you need it. A 650CCA minimum on the Smittybilt page is a battery fact, not a suggestion to winch on a weak battery. Do not winch with people standing at the fairlead.
