Method 711-HD Bead Grip Wheel Lists From $459 in 6- and 8-Lug Sizes
Method's 711-HD Bead Grip wheel runs $459 to $579 each, in 17x8.5 to 20x9 for 6-lug and 8x6.5, 8x170 and 8x180 trucks. Prices, load ratings and fit notes.
Method Race Wheels has priced its new 711-HD Bead Grip wheel from $459 to $579 per wheel, with 6-lug sizes for half-tons and 8×6.5, 8×170 and 8×180 sizes for three-quarter-ton and one-ton trucks. Method put both finishes on its store October 26, 2026, and announced the wheel October 27. Unlike the 712 we covered last week, a good chunk of the 711-HD lineup could be ordered when we checked October 28.
The 711-HD is the heavy-duty version of the idea: Method’s patented Bead Grip bead seat for running low tire pressure, a reinforced inner lip borrowed from its race wheels, and load ratings of 3,310 and 4,500 pounds. Optional forged Impact Rings add a layer of protection against trail hits. Prices, sizes and specs below come from Method.

TruckDaily take
Who this is for. Heavy-duty and half-ton owners who air down on sand, rock or snow, carry real weight or tow, and want more bead security than a standard cast wheel without the upkeep of a true mechanical beadlock.
Who should skip. Anyone who wants a 20-inch 6-lug, a 22, or a wide 10- or 12-inch wheel, since Method lists none of those. Skip it too if your exact size and finish showed as unavailable; every 8×170 size and most Machined sizes could not be ordered on our check.
What we’d do. A set of four 20×9 8-lug Matte Black wheels runs $2,236 before tires, TPMS and shipping, and a 17×8.5 6-lug set runs $1,836. If you run a heavy-duty truck and air down often, the 18×9 is the size to look at first: it costs $509 a wheel in 8-lug Matte Black and leaves more sidewall for low pressure. Confirm the load rating for your exact size with Method or a dealer, because the product page lists a range instead of a rating per size.

What Method listed
Bead Grip uses grooves built into the inner and outer bead seats to hold the tire bead at low pressure, with safety humps to fight debeading. Method pitches it as a way to air down hard without the upkeep of a traditional beadlock wheel. It is not a beadlock, and there is no clamping ring holding the tire.
The rings on the face are a separate thing. The V1 and new V2 Forged Impact Rings are protection and styling pieces sold on their own in raw and color options, and Method says the V2 also fits its 709-HD Bead Grip. The 12-point lip bolts are replaceable and come in colors too. Method’s release photo shows a Matte Black 711-HD on a GMC truck.
On our October 28 check, the Matte Black sizes that could be ordered were the 17×8.5 6×5.5 at 0mm and +25mm, the 18×9 6×135 and 6×5.5 at +12mm, the 18×9 8×6.5 and 8×180, and the 20×9 8×6.5. Machined was thinner: 17×8.5 6×135, 17×8.5 6×5.5 at 0mm and 18×9 8×6.5. That changes daily, so check the size you want on Method’s page.
Fitment and shopping notes
Bolt pattern is the first filter. 8×170 is the Ford Super Duty pattern, 8×180 is 2020-and-newer Chevy and GMC heavy duty, and 8×6.5 covers Ram 2500 and 3500 plus older GM heavy duty. On the 6-lug side, 6×135 is the F-150 pattern and 6×5.5 covers a lot of Chevy, GMC, Ram 1500, Toyota and Nissan trucks. That gets you on the list, but offset, center bore, brake clearance and the load rating for your size decide the real fit. Method has not posted a vehicle-by-vehicle list, so run your truck through Method’s fitment tool or ask a dealer before you order.
On a loaded heavy-duty truck, the load rating matters more than the look. Compare the rating on your size against the axle ratings on your door-jamb sticker. Method sells the wheel direct and through its dealers.

FAQ
How much is the Method 711-HD Bead Grip wheel?
$459 to $559 per wheel in Matte Black and $479 to $579 in Machined on Method’s store when we checked October 28, 2026. Price goes up with diameter and lug count.
What sizes and bolt patterns does the 711-HD come in?
17×8.5 and 18×9 in 6×135 and 6×5.5, plus 18×9 and 20×9 in 8×6.5, 8×170 and 8×180. That is 13 sizes in each finish.
What is the load rating on the Method 711-HD?
Method lists load ratings of 3,310 and 4,500 pounds but does not break them out by size on the product page. Confirm the rating for your size with Method or a dealer before you put it under a loaded heavy-duty truck.
Is the 711-HD a beadlock?
No. Bead Grip uses grooves in the bead seats and safety humps to hold the tire at low pressure. The optional forged Impact Ring is for protection and looks, not for clamping the tire bead.
Can I order the 711-HD now?
Some sizes, yes. On our October 28 check, 7 of 13 Matte Black sizes and 3 of 13 Machined sizes could be ordered. The rest, including every 8×170 size, showed as unavailable, and Method has not posted a date for them.
