Ram 1500 owners with the 5.7-liter Hemi eTorque now have an aftermarket option for the 48-volt belt starter-generator: TERREPOWER, the company formerly known as BBB Industries, has a remanufactured Remy unit, part number H80002, for 2019-2024 Ram 1500 5.7L V8 eTorque trucks. TERREPOWER announced it October 26, 2026, and says it is the first remanufactured unit of its kind for North American aftermarket distribution on the Ram 1500 eTorque. Remy’s product page lists it as available now.

The eTorque unit is the belt-driven motor-generator at the front of the engine that replaces a regular alternator. It runs stop-start, recovers energy when you brake or coast, and adds torque assist. TERREPOWER’s pitch is simple: these trucks are aging out of factory warranty, and it calls OE supply constrained. It has not posted a price. Details below come from TERREPOWER and Remy.

TruckDaily take

Who this is for. Owners of 2019-2024 Ram 1500 trucks with the 5.7 Hemi eTorque who are out of warranty and facing a starter-generator replacement, plus independent shops that work on them.

Who should skip. Trucks still under factory coverage should go to the dealer first. The release lists only the 5.7 V8 eTorque for Ram, so 3.6 V6 eTorque owners are not covered by H80002. Hemi trucks without eTorque use a conventional alternator and need a different part.

What we’d do. Get the fault diagnosed before you buy anything, since a charging or no-start problem is not always the starter-generator. If it is, ask your parts counter to quote H80002 with the core charge and warranty spelled out, then price it against a new Mopar unit. Keep the old unit intact, because this is a core-exchange part.

What TERREPOWER announced

TERREPOWER calls the Remy BAS the first remanufactured belt alternator starter for North American aftermarket distribution on the Ram 1500 eTorque and Audi 48-volt mild hybrids. The process starts with a returned core that gets torn down and inspected, has components replaced or renewed, and is rebuilt to the original OE design. TERREPOWER says each unit goes through validation testing to bring it back to OE performance.

The company is backing the launch with e-catalog support, product videos and training modules for parts counters and technicians. CEO Duncan Gillis framed it around the repair cycle: “Today’s aftermarket is changing quickly as new vehicle technologies enter the repair cycle and technicians face increasingly complex diagnostic challenges.”

The same release previewed 92 new electric power steering part numbers and a NuGeon new brake caliper line growing to more than 1,800 caliper part numbers in 2027. It also launched a mobile version of S.T.A.R.T., a diagnostic app that starts with turbocharger troubleshooting, with alternator and starter help planned before the end of 2026.

Shopping notes for eTorque owners

Remy sells through parts distributors rather than direct, so price, core charge and warranty will come from the store that quotes you. TERREPOWER has not published a retail price, a core charge or a warranty term for H80002, and we are not going to guess at one. Remy’s ordering help line is 800-280-2737.

Confirm your truck before you order. The coverage is the 5.7L V8 eTorque in 2019-2024 Ram 1500 trucks, and the window sticker or a VIN decode at the parts counter will tell you whether yours has it. This is a core-exchange part sold through parts stores.

FAQ

What is the Remy BAS H80002?

A remanufactured 48-volt belt alternator starter for 2019-2024 Ram 1500 trucks with the 5.7L V8 eTorque. It replaces the belt-driven motor-generator that handles starting, charging, stop-start and torque assist.

How much does the Remy H80002 cost?

TERREPOWER has not posted a price. Remy sells through parts distributors, so ask your parts store for a quote that includes the core charge and warranty.

Can I buy it now?

Remy’s BAS page lists it as available now, with a where-to-buy tool and an ordering help line at 800-280-2737. TERREPOWER is also showing it at AAPEX in Las Vegas, November 3-5, 2026.

Does it fit the 3.6 V6 eTorque Ram 1500?

Not according to the release. The only Ram coverage TERREPOWER lists is H80002 for the 2019-2024 Ram 1500 5.7L V8 eTorque.

What does remanufactured mean here?

TERREPOWER takes a returned unit, tears it down, inspects it, replaces or renews components and rebuilds it to the original OE design, then runs validation testing. You trade in your old unit as a core.
