Method 712 Bead Grip Wheel Lists at $409 for 5- and 6-Lug Trucks
Method's 712 Flow Formed Bead Grip wheel is listed at $409 each in 17x8.5 for 5x5, 6x135 and 6x5.5 trucks. Not orderable yet. Specs and fit notes inside.
Method Race Wheels has put a price on its new 712 Flow Formed Bead Grip wheel: $409 per wheel, listed in 17×8.5 Matte Black for 5×5, 6×135 and 6×5.5 trucks. Method unveiled the 712 at Ford Racing Raptor Rally 003 in Lake Havasu and added it to its store on October 20, 2026. All four sizes showed as not yet available to order when we checked October 22, 2026, and Method has not posted a ship date.
The hook is the Bead Grip design. Method says it lets you air down to pressures that used to call for a true beadlock, and the 712 is derived from the 207 T1+ Spec wheel Method built for Ford Racing’s Raptor T1+ rally truck. At about 25 pounds with a 2,650-pound load rating, Method calls it the lightest 17×8.5 wheel it has made at that rating. Specs and price below come from Method.

TruckDaily take
Who this is for. Owners of 6×135, 6×5.5 or 5×5 trucks who air down on sand, rock or snow and want more bead security than a standard wheel without stepping into a full mechanical beadlock.
Who should skip. Anyone who needs wheels this month, since none of the four sizes could be ordered on our check. Skip it if you want a size other than 17×8.5, a finish other than Matte Black on the store today, or an offset other than the 0mm and +25mm Method has listed.
What we’d do. At $409 a corner, a set of four runs $1,636 before tires, TPMS and shipping. If you run a 6×135 or 6×5.5 truck and air down often, get on Method’s notify list and confirm the exact fitment for your truck with Method or a dealer before you order.

What Method listed
Method builds Bead Grip wheels for Ford Racing’s Raptor programs, and the Raptor T1+ ran the 207 T1+ Spec Forged Bead Grip wheel in 2026. Method says that car finished second and third overall at the 2026 Dakar Rally and second overall at Vegas to Reno. The 712 takes the 12-spoke “knuckle” look, the reinforced inner lip and the Bead Grip bead seat from that program and puts them on a flow formed wheel with consumer bolt patterns. Method is clear that it is not a replica of the race wheel.
Bead Grip uses grooves in the bead seat to hold the tire bead at low pressure, with a safety hump to fight debeading. It is not a mechanical beadlock, which is part of why the T1+ ran it: Method notes FIA T1+ rules ban mechanical beadlocks.
The release also mentions a Machined-Clear Coat finish, but only Matte Black is on the store so far. Method has not posted a center bore, a brake clearance spec or a vehicle-by-vehicle fit list on the product page, so we are not naming trucks beyond the bolt patterns.
Fitment and shopping notes
Bolt pattern is the first filter. 6×135 is the Ford F-150 pattern, 6×5.5 covers a lot of Chevy, GMC, Toyota and Nissan trucks, and 5×5 is common on Jeep. That gets you on the list, but offset, backspace, center bore and brake clearance decide the real fit, so run your truck through Method’s fitment tool or ask a dealer before you order.
Running Bead Grip means airing down on purpose, so you need a way to air back up at the trailhead. This is brand-direct shopping from Method and its dealers, so there are no Amazon links in this story.

FAQ
How much is the Method 712 Bead Grip wheel?
$409.00 per wheel on Method’s store when we checked October 22, 2026, so $1,636 for a set of four before tires and shipping.
What sizes and bolt patterns does the Method 712 come in?
17×8.5 Matte Black in four versions: 5×5 at 0mm, 6×135 at 0mm, 6×5.5 at 0mm and 6×5.5 at +25mm offset.
Can I order the Method 712 now?
Not yet. All four sizes showed as not available to order on our October 22, 2026 check, and Method has not posted a ship date. The product page offers a notify option.
Is Bead Grip the same as a beadlock?
No. Bead Grip uses grooves in the bead seat and a safety hump to hold the tire at low pressure. Method says it lets you air down to pressures that used to need a beadlock, but there is no outer clamping ring.
Will the Method 712 fit my F-150 Raptor?
Method lists a 6×135 version, which is the F-150 bolt pattern, but has not posted a vehicle-by-vehicle fit list on the product page. Confirm offset, center bore and brake clearance for your truck with Method or a dealer before you order.
