Next-Gen Jeep Gladiator Due Second Half of 2027, Stellantis Says
Stellantis says the next-gen Jeep Gladiator launches in the second half of 2027 and will cost less, with new Ram midsize and compact pickups to follow.
Stellantis says the next-generation Jeep Gladiator launches in the second half of 2027, alongside a new Wrangler and Grand Cherokee, and CEO Antonio Filosa says all three will cost less than the trucks they replace. He made the comments on the company’s third-quarter earnings call October 28, 2026, and added that Ram will follow with a new midsize pickup and a new compact pickup.
That is the whole list of what Stellantis put on the record. It gave no model year, price, engines, specs or reveal date for the new Gladiator, and no names or firm dates for the smaller Rams. Everything below comes from the Stellantis release and the call.

TruckDaily take
Who this is for. Anyone shopping a Gladiator right now, and anyone who has wanted a Ram smaller than a 1500.
Who should skip. Owners looking for specs, prices or a reveal date. None of that was announced.
What we’d do. If you want a Gladiator in the next year, the 2027 truck at dealers now is what you can actually buy, and the new one is not due until the second half of 2027. A lower price on the next truck is a promise with no number on it yet. If your current Gladiator is doing the job and you can wait, wait for Jeep to publish real prices and powertrains in 2027 before you decide.

What “cost less” does and does not mean
Filosa said the new Gladiator, Wrangler and Grand Cherokee are “Jeep 100%” and “cost less than the current ones.” He did not say whether that means a lower sticker price for shoppers, a lower cost for Jeep to build, or both. He did not give a starting price or name a trim. For reference, Jeep lists the 2027 Gladiator from $43,895 starting MSRP.
The timing matters too. Second half of 2027 is a launch window, not an on-sale date for every trim. Jeep has not said whether the next Gladiator will be a 2028 model or when orders open. Treat any report with a firm model year, engine list or price as unconfirmed until Jeep publishes it.
Smaller Ram pickups are on the plan
Ram does not sell anything smaller than the 1500 in the U.S. today. Filosa said that changes with one midsize Ram pickup and one compact Ram pickup, coming soon after two new Chrysler models he says arrive by the end of 2027 under $29,000. He framed the move as part of a push into the under-$40,000 part of the market. He did not give names, sizes, engines, plants or prices. Ram already sells the Dakota midsize pickup in South America, and Stellantis credited it for a 33% rise in Ram sales there, but Filosa did not say the U.S. truck will be a Dakota.
He also said a range-extended large pickup is coming very soon. Stellantis did not name it on the call. Ram’s extended-range half-ton is the Ram 1500 REV, which a supplier memo reported by Automotive News put at mid-April 2027.
Other truck notes from the call
Filosa said the first order allocation for Ram’s new street sport truck sold out within 24 hours, and the new Ram ProMaster City van launches at the very start of 2027. CFO Joao Laranjo said U.S. dealer inventory was about 368,000 units at the end of September and Stellantis plans to finish the year between 320,000 and 350,000. Stellantis did not announce any incentives on current trucks.
